… and Launches the First CES Unveiled@London Press Event…Thursday 17th November 2011 ~ 3.00 -7.00 pm
London 27 September 2011 – As owner and producer of the International CES® the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® has announced the launch of a new UK-focused media event, CES Unveiled @ London. The new London-based press event is scheduled for 17 November, as part of the pre-International CES(R) programme that includes Unveiled press events in both New York and Las Vegas. International attendance was up by 30 percent at the 2011 CES in Las Vegas, setting a new record in the show’s 45 year history.
With British innovation in mind, the CES Unveiled@London event will be held in partnership with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) at the end of UKTI’s TechWorld conference and exhibition, located close to Tech City.
“With the Tech City initiative announced earlier this year and the established TechWorld show, London is the place to be for anyone involved in the technology industry,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “We are very excited to bring the CES preshow build-up to London for the first time with CES Unveiled@London. Partnering with UKTI to promote British innovation in the technology sector is of great benefit and further cements the technology industry’s collaborative approach.”

CES Unveiled@London will mirror CES Unveiled@New York held in early November. CEA’s Shapiro will discuss trends expected at the 2012 International CES and the future of the global consumer technology industry. Additional speakers include CEA market research analysts presenting on global CE sales data and the Christmas selling season, as well as Nick Baird, Chief Executive of UK Trade & Investment. The CES Unveiled@London event is an exclusive table top exhibition giving companies the opportunity to present their products to the press prior to the festive selling season.
