We devised and now manage Discovering Start-Ups on behalf of Cambridge Wireless. This is a two-year programme to identify and assist new and emerging talent and is a great opportunity to work with exciting companies, technologies and people. We love Cambridge Wireless’ attitude to getting things done.
We are working with the East of England Development agency to identify and support the interactive entertainment (games) industry in the East of England. Our partners are ideaSpace and Games Eden.
We have worked with Cambridge Open Systems for 6 years as strategists, mentors and marketing department. We have repositioned and re-branded the company and turned it from a development to managed-services company. We help them focus on sales and assist them to win business. Supporting organisational change within UKTI East of England’s delivery team, we developed a strategy for enhancing support for the technology sector and produced the action plan full of ideas that are being taken forward in 2010.
This year, we finally arranged to coach and mentor the Employer Brand and Recruitment Manager at Red Gate software to ensure successful use of company brand in recruitment and retention. And it was so worth it, our client really got it and introduced the innovative i-Pad incentive scheme for interviewees. Well done Alice.
We provide strategic advice and cultural training to senior managers new to doing business in Asia. One of our first clients was Antenova, which went from strength to strength in Japan. We were also commissioned by XJTAG to ‘train’ their team of exhibition hostesses on cultural sensitivities in Japan. We have also run Korean cultural training using EU funding.
We won the contract to provided mentoring to ICT companies for Invest NI in 2006. What we actually did was develop their national strategy for the digital media sector; negotiated across the political divide and left them with more than a few ideas about how to progress.
We organised and undertook ‘focus group activity’ in Japan for m-spatial, so that they could better understand future trends in the the consumer market and transplant this understanding onto their European business. (As of January 20, 2009, m-spatial ltd. was acquired by mxData Ltd).
Produced strategic and tactical plan, implemented internally, for ‘security client’ wishing to evaluate and renew its international distribution network.
Worked across time zones and geographies to develop a five-year plan for the British Embassy in Japan, identifying emerging UK technologies and developing global value chains.
Flew the Games Industry flag for Britain and liaised with government teams to obtain funding to take leading games companies to E3, Tokyo Games Show, GStar Korea and China Joy. Oh and TiGA was conceived on our hired coach to Nintendo in Kyoto.
Supported Image Semantics’ (Fun Text) drive into new markets leveraging government and industry contacts to introduce a novel new technology start-up to major telecoms companies.
